A Fresh Eye for the Trees

My folks gave me a new camera for Christmas (thanks Mom and Dad!), and I am currently in the process of learning how to use it. Soon I will be sharing clearer and more detailed tree images for you. Just in time for the spring blooms, eh?

Shown in today's image, the bark of our Eastern white pine.

  2. That's a great camera...I think that if I touched the screen, I would feel the roughness of the tree bark! I'm sure you will have fun with it!

  3. Oops, don't bother to answer, I just clicked on your link and found out!

I use an Olympus E-300. The options you have with such a DSLR aren't always needed, but when they are, they enable you to get some great shots!

The learning process is great fun as well.

  4. Trailhead - Thanks. We have snow today and tomorrow - I am going to have some fun!

Michelle, Doesn't that bark make the tree look like an elephant?

Larry, glad you figured it out, but for others who might wonder it's a Nikon D80.
