Off to play in the trees… see you in a week!

I am venturing back to the forests of the Poconos to celebrate my favorite time of year: Halloween, Autumn, and my birthday.

I will return Monday, November 6th with more pictures of trees and forests to share with you!

Until then, here are a few things you can play with in my absence:

The Festival of the Trees 5 will be published on Wednesday, November 1st at
FrizzyLogic. It’s not too late to contribute! You have until October 30th to send your tree-related blog entry to FrizzyLogic. For more details, be sure to check out the Festival of the Trees coordinating blog.

AND, as if that weren’t exciting enough, the Festival of the Trees 6 will be hosted right here in the forests of
Arboreality on December 1st! I will begin accepting entries on November 1st. [More details will be posted when I return Monday, November 6th.]

Some other fun things to play with:

The Blog of Henry David Thoreau
(Found via
Caroline Brown’s Earth Friendly Gardening)

The Art of Nature
Fine art landscape photography by Bruce W. Heinemann

The John Muir Exhibit
(always a fun time)

Among Trees
Photographs by Sean Kernan

And if you're looking for something silly, try the "13 Nights of Halloween" at Tales from the Microbial Laboratory.

Have a most excellent Halloween, Samhain, Days of the Dead, and whatever other celebrations you enjoy at this lovely time of year! See you soon!
