Moving Time: Arboreality Now Lives at www.brainripples.com

Arboreality - Tree Blogging has moved! Please update your links:

http://brainripples.com/category/forest/

I am excited to announce that Arboreality now has a new, permanent home at www.brainripples.com.

My blogs Brainripples, Arboreality, and AppleJade will all live together under one domain. For those who prefer the original channels, my blog will be simply categorized by Studio, Forest, and Garden respectively. You can read more details here.

All Arboreality content published at arboreality.blogspot.com will remain as-is for the time being, so that no active links will be broken. In coming months I hope to republish the best content at my own website including interviews, articles, features, and other goodies.

I wish to extend my thanks to Google/Blogger for the free hosting enjoyed by Arboreality, and for giving me the chance to cut my teeth in the blogosphere.

Onward!

Nalini Nadkarni tackles trees and people on NPR Morning Edition

Visit NPR.org to listen to an interview by Robert Krulwich with author and forest biologist Dr. Nalini Nadkarni:

"Going Out On A Limb With A Tree-Person Ratio"
Krulwich on Science by Robert Krulwich. NPR Morning Edition, November 12, 2008

In her new book
Between Earth and Sky: Our Intimate Connections to Trees (University of California Press, July 2008), Nalini Nadkarni explores the many subtle and extraordinary ways that people rely on trees for the products they yield, the imagery they invoke, and the ecosystems they support.

It was my distinct pleasure to support Nalini Nadkarni in the creation of this book. You'll hear me chime in with a few words in the middle of this NPR broadcast.
