Frozen Pine Needles

Winter is still very much alive in this neck of the woods!

  1. Pictures like this make it clear to see that all the best designers, regardless of their medium, get their best ideas from nature.

  2. I love an ice storm.

(As long as I don't have to drive in it.)

  3. Oh, wow...that is so beautiful. That is what I miss about being in the northeast. On the other hand, we had snow today...woo hoo! It lasted all of about five minutes! LOL

  4. Sylvia, thank you!

Pollen Nation, I heartily agree with your point about nature. I just got a PA tourism travel guide magazine, and in the front it has the following quote:

"The big artist keeps an eye on nature and steals her tools."---Thomas Eakins

Trailhead, yeah, can't blame you on the topic of driving. However, when all you have are boots and a camera and no where to go, they're pretty awesome.

Michelle, I'm so glad to have a new camera to play with - my older camera just wasn't able to capture this level of detail!

I sure to miss the PNW - hope you're enjoying your snow. :)

  5. Incredible! It's a shame we don't ever see a sight like that round my neck of the woods.

  6. Welcome Ash! The freezing rain is new to me as well... while I know it rolls through Seattle on occasion, ice storms seem much more prevalent here in the midatlantic than they are in the Pacific Northwest. Ditto on those awesome Summer thunderstorms!
