Announcing the Festival of the Trees

Greetings Arborealists! Our reader Sylvia gave us a link to the plans for the Festival of the Trees, a blog carnival set to roll out on July 1st. Thanks to Sylvia for providing the link, Arboreality will be one of many contributors for the inaugural carnival.

You can read more at the Festival of the Trees coordinating blog. I encourage all of you to take a moment and see if you would like to share something!

They are still open to new entries pertaining to trees and forests. If you have an image, a story, a thought to share about trees, draft up a post, and write to David Bonta with a link to your entry as he requests in his announcement of the Festival of the Trees:

"The first installment will be at Via Negativa on July 1. Please submit links to bontasaurus (at) yahoo (dot) com, with “Festival of the Trees” in the subject line, no later than June 30. All posts should have appeared during the month of June. We’ll inaugurate a coordinating blog in late June or early July to archive links to blog hosts, announce upcoming hosts, and blogroll participants."

Pass it on, and see you there everyone!

  1. Thank you for the link!

The festival of trees sounds like the Pagent of the Masters (in Ca.), except here, all creations are works of nature.

  2. Greetings Barbara! I am really excited to see what others have created. The Pagent of the Masters sounds very interesting... I'll have to google it.

I've been meaning to ask you, do you celebrate Tu B'Shevat? I've been reading about it in recent months, and I think it sounds like an excellent and important holiday.

    Have a great week Barbara!

  3. Hi

I do not personally celebrate T'B'shevat, but if you go to www.chabad.org., there will be a good explanation for this festival of the environment for you.

    Sounds right up your alley.

    Have a good week.
